So as to build up body, increase willpower, let teachers and students adjust the pace of life after intense work and study, experience the strength of teams, enjoy the fun of sports, recently, Anqing Foreign Language School meticulously organized the ‘Cross-School Race in Winter’ activity.
Initially, with the starting gun going off,energetic students and faculty members began their long distance trip. Security personnel at each intersection were on their marks. Even the armed police force from the traffic police battalion proceeded traffic control without delay.
Later on, contestants started off at the main entrance of Anqing Foreign Language School, encircled the periphery of the campus one lap before returning to the original start. They chased each other, spared no effort to compete and tried their best to achieve good results. The cold weather couldn’t block the forward steps or extinguish the enthusiasm of teachers and students. The stretching procession, fiery-red flag and joyous smiling faces constituted a flowing landscape. What’s more, some passersby took out their cell phones to record the wonderful moment while others cheered and gave athletes thumbs up.
To conclude, after the fabulous event, prize-winners took a group photo to mark the occasion one after another. This cross-school run aimed to call upon teachers and students to get close to nature, walk into the sunshine and take an active part in physical training, which not only conducted a big inspection on students’ sports level, but also was a grand gathering to demonstrate the moral trait and spiritual outlook of Anqing Foreign Language School’s teachers and students.
